Methods of Multi-Criteria Analysis in Technology Selection and Technology Assessment: A Systematic Literature Review

Abstract Technology assessment and selection problems have gained importance in recent decades as the used technology often determines enterprises’ competitive advantage. Due to extensive catalogue of criteria that should be considered and, on other hand, available technologies solutions, decision-making process choosing a becomes significant challenge for organisations individuals. This study aims identify main research directions trends scientific literature applying multi-criteria analysis (MCA) context and/or selection. The author conducted bibliometric publications indexed Web Science Scopus databases. methodology this also included identifying most productive authors, countries, organisations, journals analysing occurrence co-occurrence terms. Final analyses 380 retrieved from database 311 documents repository. terms keywords allowed distinguishing two using MCA methods assessing selecting industrial health medicine-related technologies. Some sub-areas been distinguished within these areas: energy renewable technologies, waste management, biomedical medical drug production
